The best thing about the movie is its surprisingly able. I will admit there is one thing this movie is really good at: Stealing pbits and pieces from great sports movies to make their own. LIKE MIKE has a formula intended for box-office heaven a teen idol into a family-friendly fantasy. Kid goes to orphanage, kid learns how to play basketball, kid get's adopted by basketball player: THE END! Never before have I seen such appaling lack of creativity. The whole story is extremely predictable. NOTE: I have yet to see "Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift", so he might have gotten better. It's clear the kid strongly believes he's "gangster". But I have to say that the lowlight must go to Lil Bow wow. Even Jonathan Lipnicki and Eugene Levy from "American Pie" weren't very good. It was laughable AT BEST.Īlso, the acting wasn't very good. ![]() It sounds like it was written by 2002, rap obsessed 5th graders. The worst part about the movie might be the script. Basically, it's one of the worst sports movie of all time, and this is coming from a person who loved "The Fan" and "Mr. You know, when a company decides to make a movie about a kid playing professional basketball, they're basically saying "We're desperate!" This movie is ridiculous, it's unoriginal, it's badly acted.

But a good episode of The X-Files always had to end by giving us more questions, and this one delivers in spades. It also opened up new questions, including the nature of Charlie Scully’s estrangement, and of Scully’s relationship with her mother over recent years. “Home Again” offered some amazing opportunities for both Scully, and us as viewers, to examine the aftermath of William’s adoption and how that has impacted Scully ever since. Considering he was just eulogizing his best friend the night before, one can't blame the cops for seeing suicide as likely. The girls get "Boom" alone, and the next day, he's found hanging, appearing to have died by suicide. Afterward, the girls get a ride home from mournful jock Jay "Boom" Deboom, played by Reynolds. The girls' victims are thought to be the work of a Satanic cult, and the episode opens with a eulogy being given to a dead student. The episode is a standalone " monster of the week" tale, although there's no real monster to be found, as the villains are two vindictive teenage girls bursting with cosmic energy due to the alignment. Ryan Reynolds appeared in the season 3 X-Files episode titled "Syzygy," which refers to an astronomical alignment of three celestial bodies.
